Decision from Swedish Competition Authority regarding LOGSTORs acquisition of Powerpipe Systems

Further to the announcement on 9th September 2015 regarding the acquisition by LOGSTOR of Powerpipe Systems, a Swedish-based leading provider of pre-insulated pipe systems, the Swedish Competition Authority (SCA) has now completed its phase 2 investigation of this transaction. Unfortunately, the SCA has decided to file a summons application with the Stockholm City Court, Sweden, requesting the court to prohibit the transaction. This is a standard procedure in a merger approval process when the SCA objects a merger. LOGSTOR disagrees with the SCA’s assessment and will now review the SCA’s submission in order to decide on the next course of action.
