Pre-insulated pipes offer many advantages when it comes to transport of oil or gas. It is possible to place a tracer pipe while insulating in order to maintain the temperature of the media, e.g. to keep the oil sufficiently fluid or to avoid precipitation of condensate in a gas pipeline. The good insulation properties of LOGSTOR Industry's products only require a rather modest input power to maintain the desired temperature.
Today, oil pipes are subject to increasingly stringent demands for reasons of protection of the environment. The insulation and the jacket are considered a very efficient coating for protection of the carrier pipe. Pipes supplied with leakage alarms can advantageously be used in buried pipe systems. The leakage alarm detects moisture in the insulation, i.e. damage on the jacket can be detected in time before it causes corrosion in the carrier pipe.

LOGSTOR Oil and Gas Division when it comes to on- and offshore pipelines
In the 1990-ies LOGSTOR introduced pre-insulated pipe systems for onshore oil and gas installations. The idea was so successful that we shortly after extended our activities to include offshore pipelines, too. We supply turnkey system solutions for oil and gas pipelines onshore and offshore, among other things. The installation of our systems is quick and simple thanks to our unique pipe-in-pipe systems. The insulation material is polyurethane (PU) foam and the outer jacket is supplied in steel. The carrier pipe is made of steel or GRP and the measures are custom tailored.
